A young Bighorn that is facinated by the camera. He comes closer and the tripod receives a nudge. His mother calls and he turns to look.

  • Surrounded by lush vegetation, this Bighorn is having a fine time. Bighorn's love the high alpine meadows and enjoy the grass. leaves, roots, shoots and twigs.
  • I would not be very good at cliff dwelling and this large ram was wondering what i was doing there. Note his nimble legs and powerful body.

  • Note the size and strength of the horns. Imagine receiving a hit from these. Bighorns have an unusual digestive system which removes all the good nutrients from poorer quality food.
